I have recently been introduced to the world of decoration and interior design and your blog is such a wonderful resource! I especially enjoy the pictures and fresh ideas you provide through your site. I was wondering if you had some time to take a look at the pictures I have attached. This is an apartment I bought last summer in the area of Papagou and it is supposed to be finishing up in a few months..
My main questions have to do with the decoration aspects of the living & dining room. The architect recently asked me to select some colors for the walls of the living room and I chose: BC 116 (Vivechrom) so that it can be used on the ceiling as well. What do you think?
How about in terms of furniture arrangement? The space is lacking “corners” so I find it hard to conceptualize the best possible arrangement. I love bookcases but I am not sure where they would fit. The area to the left of the fireplace is covered with “gipsosanida” and will be taken out. Perhaps I could create some shelves there. In addition, I was thinking of a grey-ish sofa, colorful pillows. I like the combination of grey, white & wood elements. For the dining room I thought perhaps I should use a round one to “break” the rectangular-shape of the space. What color would that be? Behind the table I imagine a buffet against the wall with art work on. I think the curtains will play an important role as well as the lamps above the dining table.

Νίνα, αν και πιθανότατα έχεις βάψει τώρα, το χρώμα μου άρεσε και λογικά θα έχει βγει καλό και με το χρώμα του παρκέ σου. Θα ήθελα όμως ένα γκρι καναπέ να σιγοντάρει την εικόνα και όταν λέω γκρι, εννοώ γκρι. Μετά μένει να φτιάξεις όντως τα ράφια σου με γυψοσανίδα και να βάλεις μια τραπεζαρία ροτόντα σε σκούρο καρυδί. Οι κουρτίνες σου ακριβώς για να μην δώσεις και άλλη ένταση στο τετράγωνο του δωματίου σου, θα μπορούσαν να είναι λινές αεράτες. Στο παράθυρο να βάλεις ένα ρόμαν, no problem.
H διάταξη του καναπέ μου φαίνεται πως θα πρέπει να είναι γωνία, ο ένας να κοιτά προς τις μπαλκονόπορτες το μεγαλύτερο κομμάτι του, και ο άλλος προς το τζάκι, ώστε απέναντι στον τοίχο να βάλεις κάτι σε μικρό banquette, μπροστά από το άνοιγμα. Στην τραπεζαρία σου βάλε ένα μπουφέ ή μια μικρή βιβλιοθήκη.
Eγώ τώρα όμως δε σε πήγα σε σκέτο Scandi, γιατί εκεί με παραπέμπεις με αυτά που μου λες, αλλά σε πήγα στο νέο Scandi-vintage που έχει λίγο απαρνηθεί το λευκό στα έπιπλα και το έχει κρατήσει μόνο στους τοίχους. Γιατί ξέρεις τώρα τι γίνεται, όταν βάζουμε πολλά λευκά, είναι και λίγο κρύα τα πράγματα, όταν βάζουμε και λίγα παλιά, το σπίτι αποκτά μια πατίνα του χρόνου.
